New Toy
« on: March 06, 2008, 05:21:56 PM »
Noticed some of you guys are get some new toys, got one myself yesterday. The wife calls me at work and ask if I want in thing from Tacoma because her and her mom were going that way shooping. So I said yep, swing by the Cabelas and get me one of those Remington 700's in 22-250. Low and Behold she did it it was actual the Mom-In-Law, how cool is that. Guess the planets where aligned in my favour yesterday. Once I get it setup I will post a pic and if anyone is looking for a hunting buddie on the Westside or would like to show a newbie how to smoke a Yote, I am game.

Can I borrow your mom-in-law?  ;)

My future mother in law asked if I thought I would hunt for the rest of my life. I quickly replied with "yep".  :chuckle:

Maybe you should have asked for a new pickup truck? I would be weary though....anytime my wife authorizes something like that she has some new jewelry in hiding or something she is feeling guilty about.........

Wife got no sisters. The mom in law is to cool to trade in for a new one, but is man less right now. Still haven't gotten around to taking a pic of the gun but hope to get it zeroed this weekend. And haven't had any luck at finding a place to hunt some dogs either. Have been told they are everywhere though. Question should I zero it for 100 or 200 yds. Got some reloading gear on the way too. Tax time is pleseant when you get alittle back from the Man.

Zero should be closer to 250 yds.  Check out the attached table based on a MV of 3600 fps and a bullet weight of 55 gr.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.
