no prob kinda a unique deal. i was making some flu-flu arrows, and i got a brain storm. so i got out the chopper, and fletched a arrow up and it was sweet! so i switched to all 6 fletch on my recurves that was about 3 years ago but been shooting 4 fletch on my compound arrows for about 5 years ya might try it boneaddict if you have a arrow that needs refleching try it out and see what ya think. as well as anyone one else that might want to try it. my wraps and fletching kinda makes my arrows stand out at the shoots and if i do loose one at a shoot , and someone finds it they know its mine the noise on my recurves with the 6 fletch is a little more like a guy would think but i compare it to some arrows that i have 4 4" shield featherd on and they are almost the same noise level. i have found that the parabolic feathers don't make as much noise as the shields, that tend to cut the air more then the rounded edges on the parabolic.and yes you are right hornseeker, more contact but i have never seen any effects what so ever. i shoot shelf and rest's, on the several diffrent trad bows i have. none seem to have a prob with the 6 fletch
