Plea for Shad
« on: July 25, 2010, 10:05:39 AM »
If you happen to have some shad that you are saving for crab bait or other uses and would take something else over that please send me a PM, I need frozen or fresh Shad desperately....  Please won't you help out someone in need...  Please help!  Sounds like an infomercial doesn't it!  "I will send picture of Sturgeon taken with your shad and let you know it's progress........"

I only got 1 left in the freezer.  Sorry.

I just hung about 6 infront of one of my trail cams. you might have to fight a bear for them.

you might try some old salmon or gills from some. ;)

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

I had about 100 in my father-in-laws chest freezer, found out it burned out a few weeks back and everything spoiled.  I lost all of my crab bait as well.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Heck yea- the same frozen and thawed shad on four different fish till it finally had to be tossed.......  Last one lasted three hook ups and two to the boat... One unmolested frozen shad left.  I think I know who has some for sale, but I got to check....  Hate paying for them nasty buggers but oh well...
