mathews has been a fixture in the bow making community for a long time. they have great warrenty programs. and make a great product. as far as i know g5 is new to bows. they also make great produsts like the BH's but i duno if they are very well established with bows.

Coach, I have the Monster 7 and love it. Smooth, fast and very forgiving. What's g5's warranty like? Mathews is awesome.

I know alot of the companys have been having limb problems . The heavy string wieghts and knock travel on the monster bug me. I put my 100 limbs on my turbo tesh last night , got a 2419 at 605 grains to fly 282 at 91 lbs 107 ke. the alpha burner does the same at 80 lbs , 10lbs = $900.00

I don't know anything about either of those bows.  But OLN did a bow review and both of these bows are in that review.  For whatever reason they call it the McPherson Monster 7.0.  In any case scroll through the pages and you can see how each did.  IMHO if you're looking for a speed bow I'd get the Bowtech Destroyer.  That sucker is smoking fast and out of the bowtests had the least amount of vibes.  It's also REALLY SMOOTH!!!!  Can't get better than that.

Colockumelk- McPherson was the original company Matt McPherson started as a bow maker. He sold it and started Mathews, only to just buy it back recently. Because Mathews is known for single cam bows they decided to give the Monsters the original name of McPherson. That's what the booklet that came with my Monster said anyway.

That PacNW for clearing that up.  I was wondering how a reputable magazine such as Outdoor Life could have made that big of a mistake.
