Mirrored Ghost Blind?
« on: August 06, 2010, 01:32:58 PM »
Saw it online at www.ghostblind.com Does anyone have one of these or have used one or seen it in person? Seems like a really cool idea but I just cant believe it looks/works as good as they show on the website. Dont want to waste $300 on it and 15.5# seems kinda heavy, but I guess that is almost what my Howa Axiom weighs!

I have seen these and thought that they were a cool idea but had some questions. What if it is raining or snowing? Does that make the reflection bad and stand out? What about sunshine? Will there be a glare? I thought of a few more but that is what I have for now.  :dunno:

From what I've read they are angled towards the ground to minimize the chance of glare/reflection from the sky and to pick up the ground better. I was thinking about getting one of the portable pop up tent style blinds but they seem so big and to stand out with sparse cover - this ghost blind is a cool idea but I just dont know... :dunno:

Well if you do get one I would love to know what you think of it. I have thought about it for duck hunting but cringe at adding even more weight to what we already pack out! My back and legs are too old!  :yike:
