Looks Awesome. I would love to get a pit large enough for a whole hog.

r benn
I had to try a little before I finished cleaning up.
It was real good.
That was My first whole hog on the Iron Hog.
I have cooked mass amounts of animals on this cooker and was suprised at great the whole hog turned out.I normally cook Pork butts..
Cheaper and a better yield.
Cant wait to do My BBQed goat in September.
Barbacoa..
Tacos!!!for everyone.
I will more than likely do 2..
More taco's for later..

Thanks Brother.

After letting the hog cool a bit I split the skin and the hog fell apart.

I could have done 2 of those 65 lbs on that cookers grate My buddy built. It was the grates madien voyage.Worked great.
Thanks Fellas.

What kind of wood did you use? Did you put any seasonings on the pig or just naked?

I'm also curious if you are for hire and what something like this would run? Would be one heck of a party have a whole hog cooked up.

I do this for hire.
I will cook on site.
The wood is apple,maple,alder.mix.I start with the first 2 and finish on Alder.
It would run about $200.00 for the hog.And about $250-$350. depending on the situation and lacation for the cooking and fuel (Wood)
This 1 I got did for $200.00 and got a $75.00 dollar tip..Super sweet. :IBCOOL:It was only in Snohomish.I live in Gold Bar.No biggy.
That hog would feed about 60-70 people if the serving line was controlled.

P.S I inject the loins and the hams and shoulders. No rub till after I pull the hog apart then I lightly season before serving.

Looks awesome. My buddy got married in the Phillipeans. Picked out a hog in the village and they went to work. I've just seen the pictures he took of it walking around, getting butchered then prepped for cooking. I don't know all the details but, he did say the whole time it was cooking they kept pouring Sprite soda over it. Not sure what else went on it.

Makes me hungry...
