Watch the wind in there and don't over hunt that stand or it's going to get loney really fast.

As the rut continues and peak breeding ensues, those bigger bulls won't be thinking much about eating.  I'd find a wallow for your ladder stand or get back on the ground and make something happen  :twocents:

Well as early archery elk draws to a close i am sad to report that after 10 long days and evenings i came up empty for this first go around.   The elk were coming in pretty regularly lots of spikes and tons of cows but no legal 3pts got within my bow range.
I was out there till pitch black dark last night in the monsoon rain that showed up and too bad it wasnt spike season or i would have been tagged out for sure.

Anyways just thought id update.  Next up Muzzleloader season.  Gonna move my stand to a different location on the property so stay tuned for some new cam pics in the next week or so.
