Dual trigger shotguns
« on: August 16, 2010, 01:13:44 PM »

Does anyone still make a dual trigger O/U shotgun?  I’ve never been a fan of the single trigger (aka – guess which barrel will shoot this time guns).

Stoeger makes a double trigger. I have the Stoeger Uplander in 20ga. It is a side by side.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.

FWIW, most quality single triger guns have a selector that picks the barrel to fire first.

IMO nothing beats the being able to instantly choose which barrel you want with double triggers. get a O/U with double triggers and screw in chokes and its like the swiss army knife of shotguns.

I think CZ may make an O/U with double triggers... you can also have most beretta O/U's modified to double triggers.

I know double triggers are common on S/S's, but i don't think I've ever seen them on an over/under.

Some of the older Browning superposes had double trigger.  I had a very lightwiegt BREDA O/U that had double triggers. it was a great hunting gun but beat the H out of you shooting skeet, after an evening of shooting my right cheek would puff up and be black and blue in the morning and that was with 1oz loads in 12ga.  Ended up buying a Ithica 37 Ultralight English.

I have a Beretta 12ga O/U Percussion Muzzleloading Shotgun with double triggers and outside hammers

Thanks for the tip on the CZ, I’ll check them out.  I’m not familiar the company or their guns but I like the look of the Mallard.  I’m not finding a Stoeger O/U with dual triggers, just the S/S.

If you're looking for a O/U with double triggers, that CZ is a nice looking gun.  That's the first O/U I've seen with double triggers.  Course, I haven't looked for one either 'cause I prefer a single selective trigger.

I must admit, sometimes I like to pull them both at once.   :yike:
