Bonaparte
« on: August 21, 2010, 02:37:04 PM »
I'm heading up to Bonaparte for Labor Day weekend with the inlaws to camp and do some grouse hunting. I'm thinking about taking one of the rifles and possibly doing some bear hunting too. This will be my third or fourth year up there, but my first year bear hunting ever. I haven't seen any up there, but I've never paid attention to them. Does anyone know of any good spots? Anyone have any experience bear hunting up there? Any info would be greatly appreciated. 8)

I've deer hunted over there and I know theres bear in the area. I would go past Lake Bonapart and hunt around that area...you should be able to find something!

Make sure it is open, their season opens later than our west side. You do not want to meet the local game warden either. He can be a mean son of a gun!!!
