help
« on: August 22, 2010, 05:37:15 PM »
Okay so my whole life I have been fishing.  But from a boat, but now I live on my own and don't have the money to but a boat.  Is there any site or place in western wa that has any decent fishing from shore with public access?  I am outside fishing in a beaver pond but nothing in here is even worth fishing for, everything is sub 2 inches.  And its frustrating trying to find anyplace worth while other then rivers, but not going to go buy fly poles at this moment.  I don't care what I catch really just like to fish.

Sorry about the bad format I put this in I am doing all this from my phone. But maybe a website out that may help? Any little info will help thanks

Ever consider a Float Tube?  I got a killer set up, 2 huge pontoons, great chair between, for 160$ at Gart sports. Went big on Flippers 130$ I can move almost as fast as I walk. You can get good enough flippers for 20-40$   Great stuff for small lakes. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine.  Kennebec Trout Unlimited..

You can get Float Tubes real cheap. But you get what you pay for, go bigger and get multiple air chambers. I had a cheapo single tube pop well off shore, set a record getting back in... :chuckle:

check these out.  LOVE mine...got the yellow one

I guess I would have to first ask a few questions.

What kind of fishing do you perfer?

Where do you currently fish (area, not exact places, unless you want to inform us)?

Where would you like to fish?

A little more information on your like's will help get more usefull information.

never been bass fishing but hear its really fun, wish i was in alaska for there northern pike but really never been much fishing besides salter water, and trout.

Well, if fishing is fishing, then head to the Hood Canal and throw in a line. The hood Canal is a big place  ;)

Hit Gorst, of the shore line. There are a few lakes in teh Tahuya state forset that have shre access. Belfais stae park is accessable. Long Lake in Port Orchard, Bay Lake on teh Key Penninsula and there is even a dock at Joemma state park taht you can fish from. There is pier on Fox Island that we used to crab and fish for salmon, hell we used to fish from the bridge going top Fox Island.

There is so many options out there, you just have to look.............

Ilahee State Park and buzzbomb or Kastmaster for salmon.

Cast from shore with the above mentioned at the lighthouse in Kinsgton.

Fresh water I am more looking into, point no-point is always way crowded. Illahi I have yet to ever try.

And see the question was shore fishing access to the public, I know tons of lakes in the area most do not have public shore fishing, good idea on the pontoon though
