I shoot a Remington Model 700 in the .270 caliber and this year decided to give 150 grain core lokts a chance instead of 130's which I usually shoot. Did the job for me..1 shot anchored my bear at 402 yards..

You'd be suprised. Most of the hunting rounds you'll find in fifty cal won't expand much on a broadside shot, thus not transferring much of the 13,000+ ftlbs of energy.  ;)

For my, Weatherby SUB-MOA Stainless, B&C Stock, Timney trigger in .338Winmag with a Leupold 4-12x40AO...shooting 210gr Barnes TripleShocks over Varget in Nosler brass. Go all out!
I left it better than I found it...did you?

Going with the .450 Bushmaster.  10 rounds of 250 grn Hornandy SST Flextip coming at ya.
Should only need one round, but will have plenty if needed.
Plan to use it for all big game this year.

Hoyt Trykon bow set at 76lbs pull weight, plus Carbon Express Arrows tipped with a Magnus Buzzcut 125gr broadhead.  Last Bear I shot was at 25yrds and he went 15yrds before piling up.

I use the same rifle for everything except coyotes. It's mt Sako TRGS chambered in 7.82 Lazzeroni Warbird. It sends a 180 GR pill down the tube at about 3600 FPS. Works pretty good for me.  :IBCOOL:
