Not going this year. For one, I'm not anywhere near in good enough condition to do the high hunt this year. Two, I have a muzzleloader deer tag this year, and although the high hunt is open for muzzleloaders, even if I was in shape to hike in somewhere, I wouldn't want to go to all that effort and then be limited to 100 yard shots. I'd like to hunt the Pasayten again; maybe next year, if I do I'll have to switch back to rifle. I would rather give them some time to recover from the two bad winters we had anyway. Maybe we'll get another mild winter this year and hopefully the mule deer population will come back somewhat.

I didnt get a tag shane but a hunting buddy did.  Its a rifle hunt and we will be in on horseback for a week.  He did see elk in there on Sunday along with a few goats so it will definitely be a good time!  If the hunting is crap i will just catch fish outta the lakes and creeks!!!
