After 46,000 miles I finally replaced my Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ LT275/70R18's on my truck, a 2007 Toyota Tundra DC TRD with 2.75" lift in the front and a 1.25 blocks in the back.  I thought I would post a review for anyone who might be considering these tires.

I originally purchased these tires on sale at the 4x4 4WheelParts Fest at the Puyallup Fair. I ordered them because I wanted something different from Toyo and BFG in an all terrain tire.  Once I got them on the truck they were more aggressive than I originally thought and would describe them as being between an AT and full on MT tire. The more aggressive nature of the tire brought more road noise, but it was not unbearable like some of the MT tires out there.

As for traction they worked great in everything that I threw at them; Mud, snow, loose gravel, sand in AZ, and eastern WA scab/shale rock. Two winters ago when we had the bad snows I was the only one to make it to work everyday and I never had to chain up. That was driving from Graham to Renton (40 miles one way). With mud they would claw their way through and cleaned out very well. I never put them in a situation with an excessive amount of mud, i.e. full on muddin', and never ended up stuck. In the sand in AZ they did a good job as long as I didn't gun it from a stop. Starting off slow and then picking up speed was no problem and I didn't lose traction. I also took it through some very soft sand (pucker factor because of where I was) and as long as I stayed in the throttle I did not lose my momentum or dig down. The eastern WA scab/shale rock was encountered over in the Quilomene below the wind farm in Ellensburg. I didn't have problems in the rock except for driver error when we did get stuck that day. The rock did eat a little of the tread blocks up and some of the sharp edges on the blocks were chewed up. We did spend a lot of the day driving in this rock and I did not air my tires down which probably did not help the tread.

These tires wore very well and still had about 7/32nd of tread left on them at 46,000 miles. I rotated them every 5000 miles with my oil change and figure I could have gotten another 10 to 15,000 miles out of them. I ended up with a slow leak in one tire recently that would require airing up the tire every couple of months. Nothing major and I ignored it until recently when that jumped to every two weeks, then a week, and then every couple of days. It ended up being a pin-hole in the sidewall. They cannot fix the sidewall area, so it was either buy one new tire and have three with 46,000 miles on them or buy new ones. I opted for the new ones and went with Nitto Terra Grapplers in LT295/70R18's for my next set of tires. A little less aggressive and will probably do better on the street which with new commitments is where I spend a majority of my time.

U can fix nearly any reasonable sized sidwall damage... I have and have run the Pi$$ out them.... if it was a pin hold then a standard tube patch would work... that was pretty good wear out of your tires... the 3 most important things to tire life are alignment, rotate and air pressure. I would know.  8)
