Vancouver Island Fishing Trip
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:34:34 AM »
I have this week off for vacation and spent the first few days fishing with some co-workers out of Port Renfrew up on Vancouver Is. We took the Anacortes/Sidney ferry to get to the Island. For some reason they (Canadian Immigration) always decide to pull us out of the crowd for a thorough search.

The fishing was so-so, we caught our limits of halibut and coho each day but only manage 5-6 kings each day. The fish ran much smaller than normal, especially the halibut which were in the 15-25 lb range. Here is a pic of a normal days catch with some other sights.
