well, she's all cut up and in the freezer, having bear burgers tonight for dinner  :)  Headin out this weekend looking for #2, and of course got to get at least one bear for each of my boys.  Hopefully lots of bear in the freezer this year.

So I got a response from the area Biologist.  They said that this sow was a problem bear in Black Diamond, captured in July 2009.  It was a bear baiting issue.  She was relocated to the area I took her, unit 578 just south of the reservation line.  Interesting to get a little history on the bear.
