A friend sent these to me. I remember seeing this when I lived in Alaska. I guess we know why it is called Eagle River!

Some of the best places to photograph them for certain.......A couple of the pics, I noticed were from Homer at the feeding station on the spit.  They have the signature up side down trees on the beach .  The others are across from the fire station at the VFW, right?  They feed at 11:00 am during the winter in the VFW parking lot.  There is a lady on the spit in Homer that also feeds them.  I know around the spit alot of the locals are trying to get her banned from feeding them as the other wildlife is almost gone from the area, and when there are too many for her to feed they go elsewhere in the local nieghborhoods.....  I really loved seeing them in their nature elements up Twenty Mile River outside of Girdwood, when the hooligans (Smelt)were running, they'd be there by the hundreds.
