remington 870 youth 20 gauge, dad cut the stock down to fit me at  7 years old. Gun has killed ducks, geese, snakes, pheasants, quail, and hopefully more to come.

mine was a Savage bolt action 20 guage.  Must have weighed 10 lbs.  Took many limits of dove in central california.

Charter Arms AR7, got it in '85.  Still have it and my kids are using it occasionally.

I love it.  Never owned a charter arms for anything else but they have been around for a while. On the ar-7 I haven't had to replace anything on it in 25 years and it has had a few thousand rounds through it. Interesting thing about the ar-7 is that Eugene Stoner designed it in the 60s and it is still in production today.  Back to the question on the Charter Arms brand, simply put I would buy the stuff again.  Hope your friend enjoys his .308, it is a good all around caliber.

Savage 110 30.06 with a 4x scope on it. i traded it for another gun a few years back and have severely regretted it. now i will neither trade nor sell any guns.

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

addicted I still have my Savage 110 .30-06. It is the only deer rifle I have now (Yes I want more). The rifle was a gift from my stepdad and I just love it. I put a 3x9 scope on it and have people wanting to trade or buy it from me. Not a chance LOL...

First firearm, a H&R Sahara 22 singleshot, a slide action singleshot.  Got it when I was 7 or so.  When I turned 9 it was replaced with a 10/22.  Still have both of them, they both shot extremely well (I lucked out with that 10/22, the original barrel shoots as nice as my target 10/22 barrels)!  Though being light, they are very finicky unless off bags.  First big rifle, a REM 600 in 308.  Wife took a moose with it last year.  That 308 has hunted the whole world (previous owner used it in africa, alaska, and other locations before he passed away).  When I carry that rifle, I feel like the good juju is still in it, things happen when I have that in my hands!
