Have a few buddies that have been hunting the mossyrock unit that have not seen any elk yet.

been out there (back and forth) since Sunday...saw 15 on Saturday morning backside of 5000 rds.  haven't seen much other than those.  only seen 2 taken out of the area, and happened to stumble on a solo cow on our way out tonight...no luck though...she ran faster than we could get down to her.

good luck..it is busy out there.

I saw a whole field full of elk between Randle and Packwood. Looks like this herd finally moved down to the private fields right off Hwy 12.   :bash:  >:(  :bash:  >:(            :'(

This wasn't what I needed to see as I was part way through a 4 hour drive back home with a soaked tent/sleeping bag....   Time to dry out and head back the first of next week. Gonna fill the deer tag this weekend.  :IBCOOL:

Thats what i like to see.  :)
Beins i just got access to some private fields down by the river
Hopefully this weekend will carry some luck for me!

Fillin your deer tag should be easy. Go to the tree farm about a mile before the iron creek camp ground. Seen alot of deer in there tuesday and wednesday. My buddy actullay shot a decent sized forked horn.

Good luck!
