Where are the elk?!

I have been thru the northern part of dechutes, most of puyallup and part of Mashel and have only seen 5 cows....*sigh*  not hearing anything, they are quiet (the few I saw).  I don't know if it's still too early for the rut or what??  Do you think the rain this week is affecting them?  The cows I saw were out during a down pour!

Was in Mossyrock today and now I know why no one is seeing anything......30 trucks running up and down the roads!  The best one was a truck that had a guy standing in the bed while driving down the road...bow at the ready....

saw three guys all in camo sitting in the back of a yellow chevy south of packwood, they just kept circling the same 2 mile loop it looked like, all ready with their bows, saw three indians in a ford ranger, two with ak47's, they asked if i saw any elk, wtf!!!!!!!!
