We are heading out tomorrow with Alta Lake Outfitters (Brian Valerman) I cant really say that I am excited cause I am going into it blind, but we will see what happens. There are 5 of us going in 9 miles on horse back. I have ridden a horse maybe twice in my life, so I am kinda worried about that.
Good luck to everyone hitting the hills and be carefull the weather is going to cold and wet with no moon phase. Best ingrediants for some mule deer hunting

You'll be fine. Beats the heck out of walking in nine miles packed for a week.
Looking forward to the hunt report! Best of luck.

No worries, you just can't let the horse know you are scared, always be confident. With the year you are having so far, a big 4x4 will probably walk through your camp.

Every chance you get step off and walk a ways. It will make the trip much shorter and the next day you will be glad you did. Good luck, Brian's an OK outfitter.
