found a very nice bear sept. 5th and again on sept 11th at 2:00 in the afternoon working the same huck patch.. jet black 150yards is a little far for the bow though.....
A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be, time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, the animals, and fish that live there”.- Fred bear

I hope so!  I'll be hanging out around the high berries this weekend.

taken a couple of bears out of the berries this week......pretty high up.. whats been unreal to me is that were finding all kinds of berries ripe at the same time...weird.   big patch of salmon berries hanging right next to blue and red hucks all ripe.

Was out by the Skokomish river today looking for grouse.  Came across a still steaming pile of poop.  It was full of berry seeds so, I have to say they are still in the berries.

Oval leaf blueberries and huckleberries are late this year: they'll be feeding in berries for a while. :) I work out of Sedro Woolley and we've been seeing a LOT of bear sign mostly in the form of purple piles. :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

For sure still on the berries , the berries didnt ripen till late so most of them hvent rotted yet, but all this rain aint helping!  Saw a gutpile the other day near one of my spots that was packed with all blackberries.
~  ~One of my favorite clothing patterns is camouflage. Because when you're in the woods it makes you blend in. But when you're not it does just the opposite. It's like "hey, there's an *censored*."”

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.
