Is that a T/C Hawken or a Cabelas Hawken? Or something else?

I'm headed over Friday as well for deer, elk, bears and maybe a big cat. I will be using the same gun 110 grain of 2FG with a 435 grain Buffalo Bullet. It has taken 2 bulls 3 cows and 2 deer.

Good luck Backwoods.  I am headed up there this weekend as well.  We're gonna try to put PathfinderJR on a bear, and if all else fails, maybe shoot some grouse...

some pics from this weekend.
Saw lots of elk. Nothing in range to shoot at.
Brother stalked a nice 3x2 buck and got within 70 yards and couldnt get a good shot so he walked.
Next up for us is general deer then general elk.
The last photo is at the elk zoo in North Bend.

Looks like a great time...i could use one of them cinnamon rolls bout now....So, how did you like the tent? I know you've been excited to use it...how did the setup go?

I like the pic of the dog on the cot....he's living the life there.

it was a great dry run of the tent.  we really are dialing it in to make it the best 15 days of the year.
100ft of lights, propane fridges, running water for dishes, tv/dvd player for movie night.... My dad is really getting into it this year and its helping him get his mind off of the chemo treatments.  its going to be a great elk camp this year even if no one knocks down a single hair.
cant wait to leave on the 28th.  We will be there from oct 27th to Nov 7th.  If you are in the area stop by and say hi.
I might even whip up some more cinnamon rolls.
