Entiat wolf????
« on: September 28, 2010, 11:29:20 AM »
My father has an orchard outside of Entiat along the river. The other day he said he saw the biggest coyote he has ever seen, looked like a german shepard, that big. He said if he didn't know better he would say it was a wolf. Dad has shot a wolf in BC. he sees coyote all the time....has any one seen wolf in the Entiat area?

There have been wolves on the north side of Lake Chelan for at least 7 years.  There have been reports of other sightings in the Entiat Valley, as far as I know none have stuck around and established a territory.  I would not be surprised to see wolves confirmed there in the near future.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

great just what we need. This animal was actually down along the Columbia river not up the Entiat valley. It was bedded in the orchard and had that distinct wolf face and the size.
I hope dad is wrong we don't need wolves messing with the entiat herd.

Having seen a moose there last year....actually two of them as one was dead on the Hwy..... I wouldn't doubt it.  It seems the wolves are expanding as fast or faster than the moose.
