Greetings - New to Forum
« on: September 28, 2010, 03:02:43 PM »
:hello: Could use some help! The wife and I have archery elk tags for Western Washington. We are very interested in hunting the late season after Turkey day. We hunted the regular season in the Swift Lake area. Saw a few bulls and cows, but didn't get a shot opportunity  :'( . Unfortunately that area is closed for the late season. We would love to get some help as to where to go for late season. We are okay with getting a cow, but would also like an opportunity at a bull, but most importantly to bring home some elk cause tag soup is pretty flavorless  !!

Looks like the area around Riffe Lake, units 503, 505 might be good for late season with bull 3pt or better or cow and unit 520 for cow only. But again I am only guessing since I am unfamiliar with the areas for the late season. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Dave

Welcome elkster23. I haven't hunted much in the mossyrock area, but have heard some good things. I have hunted the Randle and really like that area and know they can be found. It gets dicouraging to see herds of elk on all the farmers properties and when you get to your area not see anything except lots of sign :bash: There around good luck
