Thats Issaquah GMU, correct?

You'l be dealing with a lot of private lands, but from what I've been hearing, best bets would probably be around Tiger/Squak/Cougar Mt.'s.  Great bear population, haven't heard much about Elk... but that could be good  ;)

The areas he mentioned are near Issaquah, in the "heart" of 454. Nowhere close to 653.

454, probably more about who you know than where to go, hope you know someone with land otherwise its a frustrating place to try and find a spot, let alone a good one.

I'm almost thinking he'd have better luck out around Carnation, where he mentioned earlier.

I said the area was 653 that was mentioned because the previous poster( that must have been deleted for some reason) mentioned Crystal mt., greenwater, the West Fork which is pretty much all in 653 and not in 454 as you know. Didn't want him to be confused or ticketed. I too live in Enumclaw and worked in these woods here for 27 years along with hunting here for the last 47 years so I have a pretty good idea on these areas and the boundaries as well..................Les
