I do not know why this one was locked, but here area few reasons why a thread is locked.

1. The original poster asked that it be locked.
2. The thread has run it's course.
3. Comments (bashing/threats/etc) getting out of hand.

Hope that helps.

I locked it....and thats why.

There's a reason people don't post pics and stories on here or on the internet in general. It's because there's always a few people who seem to think it's their job to pick things apart and make a point of pissing and moaning till they're blue in the face about something they decide is not what they agree with.
It's really unfortunate because I know of several great animals harvested and great stories from just this year that will not be shared on here. There's always got to be someone who can't keep their mouth shut and enjoy a great animal and/or a great hunt.

I didn't remove it, it's still there for your viewing pleasure. And yes everyone is entitled to their opinions but when folks are insulting others and it becomes more than just someone expressing opinions, then it becomes time to end it. I don't understand what you're asking when you ask how I can be doing this?

Insulting? oh you mean comments about how this animal was bought and paid for??? I Have no respect for this guy, no matter how much money he has. I wouldn't walk across the street to shake his hand. Does that make me a bad person? Does that give some administrator the right to turn things off because someone is actually hearing both sides of an opinion?

I agree.  I enjoy looking at the animals and pics.  Do I think he is a good hunter because he has money hell no.  But its cool to see an animal of that caliber.  If you buy the Gov tag your gonna get critisizm regardless of who you are.  Everyone has their own opinion on a trophy I take pride in what I do and the hard work I put in when harvesting an animal regardless of the horn size.  Remember a trophy is not always the size of the horns!!

I get so sick and tired of the cry babies. So what if some one has more money than me or you and can afford to indulge their passion. Just be glad their passion is the same as ours. They could be a BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL ANTI-GUN, ANTI-HUNTING wealthy person.

i don't even understand what they could be b!tchi# about? The whole purpose of that tag is to raise money, so why complain how much the guy pays for it? That money goes to fish and game which is what protects and reserves our right to hunt. We should be proud and support that guy even more because he's doing more for hunting than the stupid whiners that are sitting on their computers all day picking apart each other.

There are plenty of people on the site that go on guided hunts. They are basically paying someone else to do the scouting and know where the animals are. Are they bad people? I can't afford or justify spending $3000 to shoot a trophy animal. I would love to though. Many people do it for different reasons, they either work so much they do not have the time to spend in the outdoors even though they love to hunt and play outside.
Everyperson that gives the WDFW as little as a dollar should get a thank you, they need all the support they can get in this state. I buy my tags every year regardless if I am going to hunt or not, hoping that when my kids get to hunt they still can because I helped support it. That one gov tag was enough to pay the wages of someone working for fish and game. (not saying that is what it was used for)  :twocents:

not whining, just dont feel like the govenor type tags should make the record books, just stating my personal opinion. i do like the amount of money they raise, cant find anywhere in this thread where me or anybody else did not support raffle tags. not sure where the crying or bitc#ing part is coming from

Thank you. I don't like having to that stuff but it just needs to be done now and then. I've been kicked off of 2 web sites before for being a jerk. After Ray got this site started and we were doing our jobs here I finally realized that being a jerk is not what these sites are all about. It is about sharing, reading, educating and enjoying what you are here for.
I rejoined one of the sites under a new name and I behave myself now and don't get my drawers in a knot.
