While bird hunting wife and her friend went out and found about 20 lbs of chantrelles between the 2 of them

Warm weather and rain really helped the mushrooms this Fall.

looks like grilled quail and chantrelles in white wine, heavy cream  and garlic for dinner

Wife is canning some today and will bring some to the next Hunt WA get together.
Hopefully there won't be any death caps mixed in with the chantrelles :chuckle:

I thought Chantrelles were some sort of exotic sheep or something since it was in the "other big game" room  :chuckle:  :chuckle:

Those good shroom picking places places are getting farther and fewer in between with all the pickers out and about nowdays.  Keep that place a secret for sure.  I have a few of my own secret spots and I actually park the truck a good mile plus away from the point of entry into the woods as a rig parked on the side of the road in old growth area is a sure give away (especially when not during a hunting season).  Nice shrooms.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.
