I went over for spring bear, and already have my out of state liscence. I can't find my Idaho regs, how much is the deer tag. We saw a ton of whitetails, and some that were going to be huge!!

Are you sure there aren't any wolves around whitebird?    Maybe not on the private ground.

I wrote IDFW and said no thanks. I went last year... They upped the price and have less deer & elk... They don't listen to regular hunters, but when you drop $400-$800 for tags then maybe they will wake up.. Its beautiful country but i decided to save the cash and hunt more in our state...

Good luck all! I hardly ever hit it opening weekend. I usually wait a few weeks before I start attempting to fill my tag. I take my work vacation during the rut also...a lot more fun during that time of the season if you don't mind dealing with the snow.

I may go next year, but i didn't tell them that... I've been instructed in order to access a couple pieces of private property i must show the land owner a wolf tag.  :twocents: I might need to photo shop one up..  ;)
