I think most of you guys are being very conservative.

Width is a very low factor on a gross score, dont get me wrong a wide buck looks awsome but the mass measurements make up the major factor followed by main beam lengths and g2 lengths, but none of it matters on this deer he looks awsome and I hope your wife gets a crack at it. That would make some good memories and stories. The day my ol lady shoots a bigger buck than me I will be more happier than if I had shot it :)

You are putting too much credit in mass.  Length of main beam and length of points is where score adds up.  Granted mass helps but I wouldn't say it is the major factor.

This buck grosses 187 and it doesn't have a lot of mass.  (pay no attention to the dork holding the deer)

Wastickslinger that buck you posted is pushing 190 gross.  Where is he?!  :chuckle:

I really hope she shoots it! Not just so we have a score but because it is an awesome feeling to scout a buck, watch his moves in the summer, take photos and then connect. Something I know nothing about. I do all the scouting, watching their moves, take photos. BUT then I shoot the first legal buck I see.  :chuckle:

Go get him!!!

I am sticking to 168 gross.

Yes i am right there with you wastickslinger. Its my wife that is going after him. We are leaving tomorrow morning to head down and set up camp. Then hopefully we will be able to find him tomorrow night and watch him bed down so we know where to be at first light Sunday.

You all will be the first to know. I sure hope she gets him. She is going to be spoiled because this will be her second buck ever. the first one was a little whitetail spike.
