dog got attacked today
« on: October 07, 2010, 05:32:28 PM »
while i was at work today my wife called me and said our dog got attacked by a coyote around 11. she let it out to go potty and it was walking by some tall uncut grass and the coyote jumped out and attacked, so she yelled at it and out dog ran back into the house. anyway, the dog is fine but that coyote wouldnt leave. it just stayed out the field in front of our house pacing back and forth. i borrowed a fox pro from my brother inlaw and put it to use when i got home. i was using the rabbit in distress call for a while and ended up hearing a coyote hawl from across the valley. it sounded just like the coyote male challenge on the fox pro. so i swiched it to that and called for a little bit. well that coyote started going nuts and was hawling like crazy. but would never come in. this is the first time ive ever called for coyotes and i dont know which call would bring him in.  im going to head back out in a bit and try again.

I say put to dog in a study wire crate and use it...  ;)

Teach your wife to shoot, then you wouldn't have to worry about it after the fact.   ;)
