I am heading up friday, got 7 days off, opener is always hit or miss. Hes hunting up there right now, he rattled in 1 of the big 3 today couldnt get a shot. My spot may not last long at 5,000 ft, looks like I will get this week in for sure before having to move down.

I was up at 5K this past weekend and saw some areas that were just tore up with rut sign. Most of my areas are at 3,500 - 4,000. If they are pushed below that then I will be behind the power curve because I haven't scouted lower.

I had one set at 2,800 but the bears were destroying it so I moved out. I know what you mean about checking the cameras...it's like Christmas everytime.

We've had good success with daytime movement from mid November on...this time last year there was a winter storm warning..it put down over 10" up high..deer were moving.my buddy had alot of big bucks in during daylight hours. The low pressure can be tricky .. these deer are not use to.people up.north so any intrusion they notice unlike the deer close to town they are so use to people being around.

Good info... Makes sense about the pressure. Checked cams and I am in the stand.. Lots of daylight movement from the bucks.

The daytime movement has really picked up. These bucks were only coming by at night until the past couple of days.
