« on: October 13, 2010, 12:58:08 PM »
I am VERY excited to see what this load does on a Mulie this weekend:

300 RUM

210 Berger VLD, 87.9 Grains RL, 3.54 OAL, 3050 fps, BC = .063... Hoping to see a lights out shot!

With those stats, I'd be amazed if it didn't drop where it stood!

Theres plenty of room for all of gods animals.... right next to the mashed potatoes!

Sounds like a decent load for rhinos...
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

That 87.9 gr of powder must be RL-25.
Sounds like it a good long range load.
What load increments did you work up in to end up with a charge that went to 9/10 of a grain?

Might want to play around with Retumbo after hunting season.  You will probably pick up a little more speed and not have the temp sensitive problems.

I was just thinking he would walk up on a nice pile of cut and wrapped steaks.
