Where are you mt biking into? Above Carson in the Gifford Pinshaw is pretty good hunting... past the fish hatchery up to old mans pass...

We were going to head around the north side of the unit...around Swift Reservoir.  Looks like I could launch my skiff up there and do it that way?

The wife and I grouse hunted up there the other day.
Saw 16 deer, in different areas of the unit. No grouse.

Its the pass on the main paved road in between the reservoir and Carson... There is a snow park and some Vault toilets there if i remember correctly.
