A few, be very careful who you send your pups to though.  I have a website that has lots of WA houndsmen contacts, if you'd like I can send you the link.

Machias what are you wanting to run with your hounds I'm assuming your talking walkers, reds, blues, black n tans.
I know of a couple guys that run raccoons. and I h ave a couple places in the Yakima valley to run raccoons. If your talking beagles I can help you out or maybe meet up with you and swap a hunt or  what ever

Question; Mom's neighbor has blue tick, redbone and GSP. Lives in Kennewick. I think he's retired them all now due to his own health. He said he used to work for warehaueser and occasionally called to track problem cats in North Central Wa.

My question, I might be wrong, I know he has a ton of land north of Kellers Ferry. He's talked about running his hounds on the reservation legally. I don't now his tribal status but, would this be something hound hunters can do? get something like a reservation fishing license but, for hunting? I have no idea, just curious.

I still see a few boxes around town in the back of trucks. I guess there's still a few die hards around. My last hound passed on back in '04 , he never got hunted though just kinda kept him around, just a fishing hound /truck alarm and he kept an eye on the chicken house. His mom didn't get hunted much either, I was just getting her dialled in on cats about ban time. I just kinda lost intrest, used to run alot of coon, but was realy wanting to get into running more bobcat. Got a damn retriever now, I want to call him a hunting dog, but in reality he doesn't hunt chit, he just brings things back I've already killed :dunno: Used to have a plott that would that too though, course there was the added bunus that he would tree and on occasion bring back things he killed himself, just couldn't expect him to be too gental with the birds. I do miss the music sometimes, but atleast my lab doesn't bawl at the nieghbors cat all nite.
If they would ever get around to lifting the ban I'ld probably pick up a couple dogs, just don't see it happening though.
