I have two girls of my own that are on there way to becoming, what we would want our kids to be , passionate about the outdoors, very special when i remember them holding toys, dolls,  and the next moment holding a rifle. :)

Yup it is the Rossi Trifecta youth model. Has the .243, .22 and 20ga barrels only shot the .243 so far but might get her out quail hunting too.

It fits her well for now but she is 12 and almost 5'3" so wont be long before she into a adult size.

Both of my boys started out hunting with the Rossi Tripple Play in the same configuration.  My 18yr old is still hunting with it!

Mallot guy...  Did you know Max Barrington?

Hmm not sure I knew a Max but not sure of his last name. Did he live here in Malott?

Yeah the Rossi is a nice setup the first one I got was a fluke bad one. The spring setup in the breach broke. I am thinking it was some weak metal and it was the first anyone ever heard of that happening, but High Mountain Hunting Supply stepped up big time and got her another one.

Yes, Max lived just south of town. You had a one time National Standard Pistol Champion (1985) in your back yard. https://www.nrahq.org/compete/Programs/07-apdx.pdf

A US Army Markmanship Hall of Famer.  http://www.qcherald.com/main.asp?SectionID=21&SubSectionID=95&ArticleID=770&TM=33083.86

He passed away last year. I believe that he has a brother and nephews that are also accomplished shooters as members of the Tonasket Shooting club.

Max was one of the nicest guys you could ever know. He would help any shooter become better 'just for asking'.

Keep your huntin partner going to the range often. Those Rossi's aren't the most accurate, but they're nice and light in the field for a youngster. -and a kid that's not tired in the field is apt to go a lot farther for success.

You're a great dad for getting your daughter into hunting.

Jack I do recognize Max's picture in the shooting hall of fame photo, but do not believe I ever actually got to meet him. I think my Dad did though. Those are great accomplishments he made. I am actually surprised by the accuracy of that Rossi. It shot a 1" group at 100yds I was like wow not perfect but better than I thought and will work out great because her and I agreed on a 100yd limit for a shot. Yes I agree about getting the bit lighter gear for the kids and only thing she will be packing is her rifle a camera and her license and tag. Fat old Dad will haul the rest.

Jeffery thanks for the high five I appreciate that. The one thing I am most proud of in this world is being a great Dad.

USAFpj She is will be 12 on the 23rd of this month and guess what she wants for her birthday... to go hunting LOL.. Her present actually is her rifle so and early birthday for her. YES she will out shoot me before I know it she has the patience of a saint, but I teach her to out shoot me I will be ecstatic...   :chuckle:  :IBCOOL:
