Sydney strikes again!
« on: October 18, 2010, 07:16:57 PM »
I had a date with my daughter to hunt the opener this past weekend, and as I tried to get her up Saturday morning, I thought we were in for trouble! We finally made it out the door a half hour late, and were heading out to the spot I had scouted for her hunt. Worrying that we were way late and would be fighting the crowds, I remembered a secluded area that kuduman and I had seen several bucks in a bachelor herd during the muzzy season. We headed down the two track, and out through the fields, a we rounded a corner I saw a bedded deer on the edge of a field. We parked out of sight, snuck back and BANG!.............2 years, 2 shots, 2 dead deer! Thanks for being my hunting partner Syd! I love our dates in the field.
My biggest fear is when I die, my wife will sell all my guns for what I said they cost me!     ;)
