I posted $619 on Facebook which was similar to the other prices. Highest guess was $849

A hint was just posted : Higher :) another hint, it's a full-size 82mm spotting scope

I really wish it would be $350... but to achieve the best performance with no compromise, the cost of producing those high quality larger ED lenses (82mm) are quite high... It's designed and manufactured to compete with the best of the best.
