I guess my best would be my favorite.  It's a 1959-60 vintage Sako L579 .308 Mannlicher.  Comes in a about 6 1/2 lbs.  Absolutely love hunting whitetails with it.  Mint condition after all those years.

I'm not much of a gun hunter... But I would have to say I like my Remington 700 BDL in a 243 win with the 24" barrel and the Leupold 3.5 - 10 x 50 VX-L!  Hand loaded some 55 gr nosler ballistic tips and they are shooting 4150 fps! Not quite fast enough IMO..  :chuckle:  Sweet gun and easy to shoot!  Coyotes don't really stand a chance..

Been a bow hunter for almost 20 years now and only have a .22 and handguns. Back when I did rifle hunt the 1st gun out of the closet was my Ruger M77 .300 WM with Leupold 3x9.
Was looking at 1 yesterday just like it and had it not been so close to xmas, I would have found a way to sneak it in the house, didn't think it was a good time to dip into the cookie jar. ;)

"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
- Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)

Am I starting to sound like a broken record yet?   :chuckle:  Tikka T3 in .30-06.  Lightweight and accurate with very managable recoil.
