does anyone go bear hunting in Mt. Adams wilderness or Goat Rocks wilderness area.    Going elk hunting in one of those areas this fall and wondering how many bears are in the area.

Go into trout lake store and look at the pics on the wall. There are some biggy's down there. I elk hunt down there every year. Always see plenty of sign of bears there. The locals say it is pretty good bear hunting there. Would recomend going out road 23 from trout lake, talked to a guy last year elk hunting, who had shoot a pretty nice bear there in the berries. Not to sure where at, but like I said try road 23. I do all my bear hunting on the upper northwest of the state.Good luck to ya. Might be down there this summer for some scouting and bear hunting. Give a shout and can tell ya of some other places there. ;)
