2010 Elk season
« on: November 03, 2010, 09:00:45 PM »
Well there was good and there was bad. The good i got to hunt 5 days straight and camp, i saw about 30 elk and a couple were bulls i also saw alot of deer and some pretty nice bucks, broke in a good pair of boots(not the ones in the pic), had alot of fun and learned a little more as well as learned a new area.
The bad was the weather for the 1st few days, i could have done with out the rain and wind, the wind part at camp was kinda my fault because of where i camped, the rain well my tent doesnt do well with the rain and i never even got a shot off or even pulled up the rifle.
Next year im going to try and have a wall tent, cot, wood stove and a few ohter items to make life more comfy.

Good looking country there Toy!  That tent reminds me of some of my first elk camps with my brother.   :chuckle: :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Toyman  Thanks for sharing the hunt and the photos.  Best of luck if you get out again before the season ends.  HH in Pa ;)
