2010 Elk season

Well there was good and there was bad. The good i got to hunt 5 days straight and camp, i saw about 30 elk and a couple were bulls i also saw alot of deer and some pretty nice bucks, broke in a good pair of boots(not the ones in the pic), had alot of fun and learned a little more as well as learned a new area.
The bad was the weather for the 1st few days, i could have done with out the rain and wind, the wind part at camp was kinda my fault because of where i camped, the rain well my tent doesnt do well with the rain and i never even got a shot off or even pulled up the rifle.
Next year im going to try and have a wall tent, cot, wood stove and a few ohter items to make life more comfy.

Good looking country there Toy!  That tent reminds me of some of my first elk camps with my brother.

+1 on the cot for next year. I don't know how I ever lived without one. Good lookin country out there been a while since I was out that way.

sorry you didn't find the spikes and had to endure a more wetside elk weather pattern  ....but those pics....sigh...I wanna go back ....that place is like heaven

At least get a tent with a full rain fly! Nice country though.
