White River Elk-Help!?!?!?!
« on: November 08, 2010, 08:42:19 PM »
Hi everybody.  I just found out about this website. My name is Lindsey, I'm a paralegal and when I'm not busting my ass in the city with legal matters, I love being outside and hunting!!!

I drew a special elk permit for the white river unit this year.  I am uncertain as to where to locate the bull elk in this GMU. Any ideas, and/or directions as to where the elk can be located would be appreciated.  I also have a Hancock gate key so I am familiar with the roads on the south side of 410. Any advice to point me in the right direction would be helpful.  I would love to shoot a nice bull, but I am more focused on putting meat in the freezer.

Thank you!!!

Crystal mountain holds quite a few elk.  If you have a gate key for Hancock, head up the main line on Grass mountain and hunt around the 7 mile cut.
