You might get into a few early in the morning with this weather but... Id look between Rock Island Dam and Vantage.. Thats the only place we saw the few. Nothing really in between Wenatchee and Rock Island and the farther north you go there are some but the numbers really aren't worth it.

Why don't you head out to the basin?

Not much..my father in law lives in Crescent bar.  We still have a few more weeks before it gets going.

I can't speak much to that area specifically, but I do know that when I drove past soap lake last Sunday there were about 5,000 Canadas on it.  Don't usaully see them bunched on there like that until much later, I suspect the fields  around Ephrata right now are red hot.  Sorry, if I'm giving away anyones secrets, but I don't hunt much in that area.  I drive thru there a lot though, and last year the birds were'nt bunched up on the lake like that until late December.

Went out a week ago, and saw the usual first 30 minute local bird flight, had a couple guys that don't get out much, which was pretty fun....we got one limit of ducks, some geese, but im guessing after the weekend it will start to get better with this weather coming in...any weekday hunters seeing anything new with conditions in the last week or so?

Nothing around Crescent Bar.  Checked it out last Saturday on our way back from the basin.  No big rafts, the backwaters had about 30 ducks total.  Few geese using it later in the day.  North of Wenatchee has more birds, but they are spread out around Daroga, still nothing to write home about.  Time to go chukar hunting.

I am going over Wednesday for 4 days.  I'll keep everyone posted.  I am hoping this cold snap will help move some birds in.

I went out on Friday with my brother in law.  We ended up getting 5 mallards and 6 canadian honkers.  I saw quite a few birds this weekend over that way.
