Wicked Video From the area I hunted
« on: November 10, 2010, 11:21:39 AM »
This is a vid from the Red stag hunt i did last month. The Guy in the green jacket is Mr. Maushauke(mouse-hockey). He is one of the top forsters in germany. Graffenwoehr i Considered one of the most important hunts in europe.
The first vid section of the group of people is from the hunt the week after mine and th fire videos at the end are from my hunt. I was wondering why the cameras were there.

The caption on the side is very incorrect. they are very afraid of people, they are just used to all the bombing and shooting.

I'm sorry, i thought the roaring animals were good enough. every time it says "rotwild" (roat vild) it means red stag.

The funny thing is, as I was sitting here eating my lunch and watching the video, I could understand most of what the narrator was saying. The second I realized that, I couldn't anymore.  :chuckle:

I spent a lot of time at Graf. Seen a ton of deer etc around there. Never did get to do any hunting though.  :(

I was stationed down near Rosenheim.  Used to watch the red deer outside our fence all the time.  Was fun watching them during the rut.   Always wanted to go hunt them but couldn't afford it.

To the right of the video, loosely translated says:

"A paradise for deer. Do the deer do well with the military and troops? Red Deer around Grafenwoehr. The animals have no fear of humans"

I'm getting by just fine on E3 pay. many people think it costs so many thousands of euros. i wish i was here 10 years ago for the deutch mark.

I was there from 92-94. I remember getting about $150 extra per month for COLA. At that time, the exchange rate was 4 Marks per dollar.

It dropped down to 1.50-1.70dm to the dollar while I was there.  Wife wanted to travel and we had 2 kids in diapers so that's where most of my extra $ went.
