I could use alittle help getting into either goodman or clearwater units for late archery elk season. I am NOT asking for honey holes just acess points that are open and areas that I can camp for 5 days. I will be going to those units next weekend to scout areas. Any help would be apreaciated. Thank you :)

Going north on 101 at MP 147 take a right go 3 to 4 miles there is a camping spot off the main road called Hurst Creek.  It is next to the creek and has a covered area with a picnic table.  Not real big but lots of people use this area.  If you go farther up the mainline there is the Coppermine Bottom Campground.

There is also lots of spots along the road or just into clearcuts if the camp areas are full, if camping is allowed on the timber land.  Tons of roads and a good mixture of large cuts and big timber in the clearwater valley area.

First you will needs some decent maps.  The DNR public lands Quadrangle are a decent choice.  These can be ordered on line from DNR.  You will want the Forks and Mt. Olympus maps.  Take some time and look at Google earth, the county Maps sites.  You can also down load ArcGIS explorer (free) that has some good orthos and maps.  With this you can down load layers from various sources and build you own maps.
Good man has okay to fair access and good elk numbers.  You can start with DNR lands and work in from their.   The clearwater has great access and decent elk numbers.  But, it is rugged!  The info above pretty much sums up the camping access.  Just about pick your spot.

I also sent you a pm with contact info for someone very familiar with the area.

If you are hunting the clearwater and see a green Jeep stop and say hello.

I just spent 10 days in the Clearwater. Rugged and steep. Elk seem to be higher, but snow is coming it looks like.
Owl mountain had a couple herds as well up off the 3000 road. Lots of fresh sign behind Yahoo lake also if ya floow the roads around the mountain. Gates are locked so bring a bike and enjoy the scenery.

Camping in there is easy and lots of room. We Based at Copper bottom mine DNR campground. Never had more than 4 spots taken.

Id get up higher to avoid a bit more drive though.
