One more off the bucket list.
« on: November 17, 2010, 01:06:47 PM »
Well when I started doing taxidermy there were certain animals that I wanted to do. So I made a bucket list, I now get to cross off number 17. This thing is by far the biggest thing that I have had in my shop and when I build the new shop without a doubt in my mind there will be a winch system installed.

Where is that bull out of?  One of the ranches or is he a free range from somewhere?  If I ever draw my AK tag, I will be hoping for a bad boy like that.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Jim - Not a member, he is retired Army.

Muley - He is going to need the wall space the cape took up an entire 8x10 tarp, and he wants the back half of the hide tanned also and that took up a 6x8 tarp

Dirty - I will make sure I post pictures, I am hoping to have all my stuff out the door by August.

Goldtip - It was a ranch bull, he has actually been drawn 9 times in Alaska where he was stationed and never could get on them around the delta area.

Quadra - It was well over a 100 pounds, took three of us to get it on the bench, if I had to guess the cape with the head in it was hitting close to 175-200 pounds, it was almost 2000 pounds on the hoof.

Thanks

Customer skinned him out. Right now I am up to 250 pounds of salt, he is going to the tannery tomorrow. There is no way that fricken thing will ever dry out in my trailer.

Nice!  Can't wait to see the end results!  I have done about a dozen European bison and they were kind of a pain in the butt.
