Incredable story and a great bull.   You have posted a true hunting story.  Thoes who have not lost an animal have not put the hours in the woods that some of us have. Time brings experinece some of us have it - some don't.  As long as you do ALL that you can do to recover  the animal, then you have done the animal right - and you did.  Coyotes and crows have to eat too and nothing goes to waste - God made it that way.  One thing you should do is to take the time to let your wife know what the time away means.  This is something I do mid December and trust me that will pay dividens next season.  You have captured what it means to hunt and to be a hunter and have a fine bull with character.  Thanks

Reflect on the experience and enjoy the winter.

6x6,

So, was the bull the other guy got the same one that you had hit earlier in the season?!?! Don't know if I missed it, but the way you said "The Monster 6"....leads me to believe it was the same bull...... Maybe i am way off.....

By far one of the best hunting stories I have read...period.This story has put a flame under me to put my hunting trips with my dad a priority.I have only hunted with my dad twice, due to him living in Montana and me here.I will now have a journal with me on my next hunt with him.Thank you for the story. And congratulations!

Nope, not the one I shot, although I was hoping  :( but a dandy none the less. I saw pictures today while over picking up the last of my stuff. I was told he green scored low 370's and is just a beautiful typical 6.

The bulls are gone from my spot now after having one waxed on Sunday...looks good for the Muzzy tagholders, especially with the big snow tonight/tomorrow! Good luck and keep us posted. There are some really sweet bulls that have been pushed off private over the past 2 weeks and the big groups are broken up a little. Should make for some good sightings and shooting! I cant wait for pics and stories.

I know of three for sure 6x taken by archers in the Teanaway special hunt, not bad with another day to go! Lets see if the Muzzies can pull through with a few more starting thursday.

Hey Mark, you wouldnt happen to know the Ol Timer that was Ill with cancer or have a way to contact him do you? Or if he already had it at a Taxidermists shop? Id like to make him an offer to mount that bull of his for just the price of the materials . I dont know if you could pass that along to him or his son??

Bucklucky....

Brotha' you have my business for life right there. I passed on the info. The landowner thinks they took it to Yakima already, but I passed on the message and your contact info just in case. I'll tell you what, I hope we get to share a campfire sometime.

Couldn't agree more 6x6 what a stand up guy, Bucklucky we need more like you. Just as I was starting to get discouraged with people slamming one another for things then I started to follow this thread.

6x6 you are indeed a great writer but you also put in time and it paid off. Congrats to you on a successful hunt and a great story with a great ending!!! I have a friend that has a cow tag for Teanaway so I'm going with him next weekend to lend a hand, sounds like the snow is getting deep.

I heard a monster 6x was just taken by a rifle hunter close to where I was hunting. Anyone know anything about the bull? Hopefully it was a member and we can get some pix!
