My buddy shot a monster eight in Southern Illinois

This is his biggest muzzy deer ever.  Scored 178.75".  Pretty good for an eight.

He owns 30 acres and all the neighbors cooperate with each other to manage for trophy deer.  John is a fanatic when it comes to whitetails and set his property to be a deer paradise.  We hunted together for many years when we both lived in Iowa and Wisconsin.  Next year I'm heading to his place for deer and he is coming out here for muzzy elk season.  :)
