First Grouse

I was on a turkey trip in E.WA (see "first turkey" on turkey page), and I saw this grouse in a tree.  I had my 3" mag, and a full choke, and he dropped like a stone.  I have no dog, and he was just lying there in the snow.  I hit him so hard that I didn't even have to wring his neck.  He was at about 15 yards.  One more species to add to the list.

That's great. Was there anything left of the breast

Yeah, it was in really good shape.  I blew the beak off though.
