They have started now.  Most moose will be shed by the 1st week of January.   They are the first deer to shed in our region.

Id like to see these wt sheds. Pretty early? Old or sick buck? I have known of some fresh sheds last week of december but its still real close to the end of the rut for any healthy buck to loose his defence.

I can take you to a place where a buck sheds every year a week before thanksgiving.  A wt and he is very big.

A bell curve always starts somewhere.  Just like seeing a healthy buck still packing in May.  Happens, just isn't average.

What I am interested in proving or finding out........some say animals shed almost the exact time every year (themselves I am talking) yet some say the bigger the buck/bull the earlier they shed.    Can't really have it both ways.    I've kinda seen it both so maybe again there is no hard fast reasoning behind it.
